PERTEX® is the original rapid drying medium for mounting and preserving of slide specimens. PERTEX® is proven not to affect the form, structure or colour of the mounted speci­men, even after years of storage. It is a xylene based, rapid drying medium, which allows for immediate screening of slides. A thin coating of PERTEX® is all that is needed for the cover glass to adhere to a microscope slide.

PERTEX® has a low viscosity that will enable it to flow easily and prevent the forma­tion of air bubbles. It is neutral and colourless and has a refractive index close to that of glass at +20ºC. PERTEX® is soluble in xylene and most xylene substitutes, mounting from 99,9% ethanol is also possible.

PERTEX® 40 ml comes in a user-friendly aluminium tube and is very easy to handle.
